Medical Device Battery test using SMBus. A medical device company needed a system to automatically test a battery that powered various medical devices. The software had to use existing Keysight instruments, and communicated to the battery under test via SMBus. The software needed to be simple to use and needed to generate a printed report for quality and regulatory purposes.

Overview

Motor Spacer Calibration for a Medical device using LabVIEW. A medical device manufacture needed custom software to automate calibrating a spacer for their product. The software needed to monitor a force gauge and control a linear motor. The software needed to automatically calculate the recommended spacer based on the the test results. Previously the customer had no way to determine the correct spacer size.
