Overview

Data Acquisition Controller using CompactDAQ and LabVIEW.  An automotive test lab needed a custom program that monitored temperature, pressure, voltage and controlled a digital output sequencer.  They needed a simple intuitive user interface to reduce operator training costs.  The user also needed the ability to specify limits on the measured channels.  If a measured value exceeded the limit the software would stop the digital sequence.  The software also needed to control a heater using a digital output. 
 
The customer wanted to use off the shelf data acquisition hardware to reduce costs and standardize the hardware in the lab.  The hardware also needed to be able to measure different signal types i.e. thermocouples, pressure sensors, and voltages.

Automotive Torque Angle Sensor testing using SENT and LabVIEW FPGA.  An automotive test lab needed software that communicated with 2 UUTs under tests via SENT.  The product was a torque sensor used in automotive applications.  The customer needed to command a motor to rotate and then read the angle of the sensor using the SENT protocol.  The customer had some existing LabVIEW FPGA code that they wanted integrated to communicate with a windows program that could monitor and send commands to the torque sensor via SENT.  The customer also had a motor that needed to be controlled using RS-232 (Serial).

Overview

Data Logger using CompactDAQ and PCI.  A research and development company needed a system to monitor their automated material dispensing system.  The measurement system needed to monitor pressure, flow, and digital signals from a robotic dispenser.   The software was required to work with hardware the customer previously owned along with modern USB data acquisition hardware.  The customer also wanted the same software to view the acquired data.

Battery Energy Test for Electric Vehicles

Overview

An automotive customer that develops batteries for electric vehicles needed a custom program to monitor and control an energy test.  The energy test consisted of 20 electrical loads connected to 20 battery cells that were controlled with a digital output.  Each cell needed be discharged until the cell reaches a user specified level.  The battery voltage needed to be monitored and saved to an excel file.  The excel file needed to be a template that contained a user defined macro for data analysis.
